Mr. Worthing and I decided to get out and enjoy the phenomenal weather this weekend at The Autumn Leaves Festival in Mount Airy, NC.
Umm...there were just a few people there!
As you might expect, there was a lot of Fall decor to be had.
Stick furniture too.
Need some bling?
Bluegrass music at every turn.
Mason Jars glued to glass candle holders. Yes...I'm proud to be a Southerner.
Mr. Worthing needed a belt and no, that's not me in the picture with him.
No words.
What would an autumn festival be without candy apples???
Warning...avert your eyes if you don't like spiders. It was all I could do to take a picture of these apples and there is NO WAY I could eat one!
Sorry for that, but it is close to Halloween, ya know!
I took this pic for those of you who are fans of the The Andy Griffith Show. You'll know that the fictitious town of Mayberry was based on Andy's real life hometown, Mount Airy. Snappy Lunch was a popular hotspot both in the show and in Andy's youth. The line to get in this place was unbelievably long!
I kind of liked these hand turned wood pots with antlers attached. I think they would look great with rustic decor. No, I didn't buy one.
What did I come away with? Only this flag. (Oh, and a candy apple!) I've been wanting one of these flags for a long time, but has been hard to find one with an "H".
I hope you enjoyed this little virtual trip to the Autumn Leaves Fesitval!

Looks like fun but way crowded. I am heading to SC next week....maybe we will cross paths...I know that is kinda a long path..but maybe!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful time Suzy! :)
ReplyDeleteI love festivals like this! I would have grabbed one of those wagons in the second picture! LOVE them! Can't eat candy apples, my 3 front teeth are capped (auto accident) and I would pull them off biting into one, LOL! Thanks for the tour! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteSuzy, this looks like the perfect way to spend a fall day. I love the pumpkin wagon planters, the bench made with branches, and the caramel apples (sans spider!). xo
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a wonderful place to visit!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a fantastic Fall day! :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been catching up on all of your gorgeous Autumn decor in your home and everything looks just lovely. We so appreciated the posts you linked up last weekend at Inspiration Friday and hope we see you again this week! :-)

Looks like a fun festival! Looking at your blog was fun! We live in similar, if not exact houses. Ours was built by MDC turned McCar homes. It is the Hillcrest model.
ReplyDeleteNot only that but we have similar tastes and even have some of the same accessories. lol
Great minds think alike. (smile)
Your home is beautiful and I love all your Fall decor.
That lamp on sticks is too great....my daughter just got me a redneck wine glass, those are such cute ideas!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, that looks like so much fun! I do not NEED another single piece of Fall-Halloween decor, but I'm afraid I would have been overwhelmingly tempted. Yes, I think The Man & I would have been in that long line to eat at the cafe -- love The Andy Griffith Show. Happy Weekend!
