The most elaborate Fall decor in my house is the mantle in the family room.
You can see it in more detail here.
The mantle pretty much takes center stage, so I just added a couple of simple touches to the entertainment center.
Up on top, I added a fall wreath on a stand. I found the wreath on clearance at the end of the season at Pier I a couple of years ago. Gotta love those end of season prices!
Then I tucked in a little bitty pumpkin on the left bookcase.
Here's a closer look since it's pretty small. The opera glasses that you get a glimpse of belonged to my great grandmother and are made of ivory.
For symmetry's sake, I added a pumpkin to the bookcase on the right too.
Here's a closer look at this one.
In the kitchen, I have a little visitor that flies in every year.
Do you see him?
He's very mischievous!
Just look at that face and the twinkle in his eyes!
On the island, I replaced the lemons in one of the apothecary jars with pumpkins that I picked up at Walmart.
And the last little Fall touch in the kitchen is the scarecrow that I added where a rooster pitcher usually resides.
I think he has a cute face too and I love the crow on his hat.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my little Fall touches. Everything will stay put through Thanksgiving. Then it's time to drag all the Christmas stuff out. Gah!!!
I'll party here!

Haha. Love the Fall Fairy. I have one that arrives for the holidays. The kids think he's creepy but I love him. I call him Bo Jangles and he reports to me any bad behavior. :0
