Do you know what I think the worst thing about Christmas is?

This is what I've been doing all day today. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel - yea!
I struggle every year with organizing the Christmas stuff so that it won't be such a huge mess when it comes time to decorate the following year. I think I may have hit upon a good solution - for me anyway. I'll share it with you Thursday.
How about all of you? Have you started taking down your decorations yet? Do you have any good tips for organizing everything to make it easy for next year? Do share!

I'm not so much on putting away decorations either. I try to wait until after New Years and then everything is super sparse in January. I love it because it's kinda refreshing after the clutter of Christmas.

I don't mind putting the decorations away as much as I stress over what to put back in their place! For some reason, I can't remember what was in it's place 2 months ago! LOL! Tried taking pictures, but things still just don't go back the same way or look as good! Maybe it's because everything is so bare looking after the decorations are gone! LOL!

ReplyDeleteI don't put away til mid Jan. USUALLY but I ahve to do it next week because our daughter and SIL AND the 2 dogs are moving in here on 2/1 while they build their house! I YI YI! Today I have been cleaning out closets like a crzy lady!!! BUT, I am glad to be PURGING and organizing! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteIt's a ton of work and so exhausting. I've been doing it slowly all week. I think it's why I love January so much - I get to relax! No crowds, no work to be done, no traffic and no rushing. Just relaxation and hibernation. It really is my favorite month of the year. People think I'm crazy but it's true.
