House Tour - Come On In!

Shouldn't every house tour begin at the front door? 

Miss M and Miss K say, "Hey!  So glad you're here!  Come on in!".

I like the spaciousness of my foyer.

Decorating My MBR - Part II - Treats Are Up!

No more blah and boring windows in the master bedroom - the window treatments are completed and installed!  Yea!  

Remember this picture of my blah, boring, messy sitting area from Part I?

Well...here is that window now.

Right now it looks pretty plain, but a round table with a custom tablecloth and chairs will be added in front of this window.

Here are the treats on each side of the bed.  (Ignore the power cords.  They will be dealt with!)  I'm giving you a sneak peek at the new lamps too.

I'm Lovin' It!

Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind.....

Anybody beside me old enough to remember that song from Seals and Crofts?  Ahhhh, sweet, sweet summertime.  Let me just say that I love, no I mean I love the summer.  Memories of - swimming, cookouts, making ice cream, going to the beach, being able to play outside until 0:darkthirty (translation: until the street lights come on), catching lightening bugs...you get the picture.  There's just one tee-insy problem - it gets hot here ya'll!  Now that I'm all grown up, I think being outdoors in the summer is much more enjoyable (Mr. Worthing would say bearable), if you have two things:

Decorating My MBR - Part I - The Beginning

Hi ya'll!  I'm so excited to meet you here.  I've been an incurable design addict for as long as I can remember - even reaching back into my childhood.  My mother instilled the love of textiles and the thrill of creating something with my own hands by teaching me to sew.  While she was a creator of beautiful clothing, I blossomed into a love of fabricating home decor items.  Thus my custom drapery and soft home furnishings business was born.   I decided to start this blog as way to share my love for all things home decor related.  It is my hope that I'll inspire some of you as much as you've all inspired me!

Well - I broke the expert's rules (what? moi? break a rule? ha!) by not making decorating my master bedroom a priority.  Mr. Worthing and I have lived here for over five years and I'm just now getting around to decorating that room!
