Y'all! I'm so excited about my thrifty score on Craigslist! I just had to show you!
It was actually a friend of my daughter's who found it (thank you Skittle!), but it was too huge for her home. Isn't it just the awesomest?!?!?! If I remember correctly, it's 32" tall. It's brand new and I paid $40 for it. You experienced thrifters, please tell me that I got a bargain.
I'm sure that it is meant to be used in a two story foyer or another room with high ceilings, but I think I'm going to use it in my office. This is one of the rooms on the list to be freshened up. There are 9' ceilings in this room, so I have high hopes that it won't be too oversized. Now I just have to decide what color to paint it - red? coral? green? We'll see!

IT IS TOTALLY AWESOME...and even if I don't know about bargains, (I pay too much for things sometimes) I sure know that gorgeous fixture was a STEAL!! I have been seeing oversized lantern-type fixtures in high end homes in magazines a lot lately so you are right "on trend" with your great purchase. Congrats on your blogiversary!!!
