At the end of 2011, I made the comment that I couldn't wait to see what was in store for 2012.
Boy, what an amazing year it turned out to be!
I completed my master bedroom makeover that was six months in the making.
Projects for this makeover included diy draperies using a trick of mine for keeping the cost of hardware down, a bookcase makeover, creating inexpensive art for a large wall, diy pillow shams, a diy box pleated tableskirt and more.
You can see all of the master bedroom projects here.
By making a few simple changes, I gave my dining room a more updated look without spending much money.
Projects included making over the existing chandelier, rearranging the artwork, adding a few accessories and making my own inexpensive convex mirrors.
I updated my foyer, using the same money saving approach.
Updating the living room was next on my radar.
The bookcase received a makeover, in addition to diy pillows, new lamps, switching out artwork and more. You can see all of the living room projects here.
The last room in the house to receive a makeover was the powder room.
I kept costs way down in the powder room by giving the existing vanity a makeover with chalk paint, creating inexpensive art and making my own window treatment.
Somewhere, in between all of my projects, Pookie found time to build new bookcases for our beach condo. This was one of the most exciting projects for me so see completed!
We built them in a bit of an unusual way and had some issues to work around that might affect some of you. You can see more about these bookcases here.
As exciting as the beach bookcase was for me, the numero uno most exciting project of all in 2012 was being a member of the planning committee that put together the Southern Bloggers Conference!
Oooh, that was so much fun! I learned a ton, but best of all I made lots of new friends and got to meet so many of you face-to-face.
I know you read it on a lot of blogs, but I sure do mean it when I say that I so appreciate and cherish the friendship, love, support and encouragement that I receive from all of you on a daily basis.
Thank you for helping to make 2012 such a wonderful year!
Now I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for 2013!
Pssst! There were a lot more projects and inspiration sprinkled throughout the year. If you'd like to see more, check out the Worthing Court Project Gallery.
