Here in North Carolina, the winter sky seems like an endless stream of gray, gray and more gray. By the time that March arrives, I am literally chomping at the bit for the brighter and warmer days of Spring.
To appease myself, I put together a round-up of ten easy ways to add some pops of Spring around the house while I'm waiting for the warmer weather to get here.
I hope you enjoy!
This idea just had to be first on the list because nothing heralds the imminent arrival of Spring to me like a simple display of flowering forsythia branches.
Drape a bright and cheery piece of fabric over your headboard.
You'll smile every time you make your bed. Pinky promise! ;)
I bet you already have lots of elements around your home that you could pull together to create a lovely Spring vignette.
Create Springtime art by applying inexpensive letterpress (cardboard) coasters onto cardstock and placing in a readymade frame.
Surprise (and impress!) your family and friends with these adorable bunny fold napkins at your Springtime gathering.
A perfect pair - flowering branches inside a pair of gardening boots.
Aren't these book page flowers adorable? A few of these would be perfect tucked into a Spring vignette.
Springify a glass jar with colorful washi tape and a bouquet of cut flowers.
Wheat grass is easy to grow, easy to maintain and can be used in a variety of ways. One of my favorites is in a long simple container down the middle of a table. So simple and so easy!
Nestle some eggs into the grass and you're ready for Easter.
Frame a pretty piece of wrapping paper.
Do you have any easy ways that you add Spring to your home?
